The Orlando Magic (28-25) and Sacramento Kings (12-44) meet Thursday at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Magic vs. Kings odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.
2024-25 season series: Magic won 2-0, including 130-111 win in Sacramento on Feb. 5, 2025 as a 4-point underdog as the Over (218.5) cashed.
The Magic lost 116-108 in the second end of a back-to-back at home against the Milwaukee Bucks on Feb. 11 prior to the break, failing to cover as 11-point favorites with the Over (219.5) cashing. F Desmond Bane dropped 31 points, including 8-of-11 from behind the arc, in the losing effort. That loss halted a 3-game winning streak, but Orlando is still just 2-4 against the spread (ATS) in its past 6 games and 4-8 ATS across its previous 12. The Over is 3-1 in Orlando’s past 4 contests.
The Kings were belted 121-93 in Utah on Feb. 11 prior to the All-Star break, their second straight loss of 26 or more points. Veteran swingman DeMar DeRozan was the main bright spot with 20 points and 3 boards as the Kings fell as 6-point underdogs and the Under (230.5) cashed with ease. Sacramento has dropped its past 2 games by 27.0 points per game (PPG) while managing just 93.5 PPG on offense.
The offense isn’t likely to be better anytime soon for the Kings, either, as the team announced during the break that G Zach LaVine (hand) and C Domantas Sabonis (knee) underwent season-ending surgeries. LaVine needs to have a tendon repaired in his right hand, while Sabonis is nursing a torn meniscus in his left knee. LaVine leads the Kings with 19.2 PPG while Sabonis is third with 15.8 while leading the team with 11.4 rebounds per game.

Magic at Kings picks and predictionsPrediction
Magic 121, Kings 99
AVOID.
The Magic (-400) will set you back 4 times your potential return, and that’s actually surprisingly low given the fact the Kings are without their top scorer and top rebounder for the remainder of the season.
The Kings are going to have an awful time trying to adjust and find offense, even at home. They were in last place in the Western Conference prior to the news of LaVine and Sabonis, and things are about to get worse.
The MAGIC -8.5 (-110) are a strong play, and you should go rather aggressively on Orlando, as long as this line stays below double digits. It seems like a bit of a gift, even on the road.
The Kings hit the break just 2-5 ATS in 7 games leading up to the hiatus, and they’re just 4-10 ATS in their past 14 outings. Back Orlando … and feel confident in doing so.
The UNDER 223.5 (-110) should cash for the third straight time for Sacramento (each of Sacramento’s 2 games leading up to the break hit a total 214).
Orlando has cashed the Under in 5 of its past 6 true road games and in 9 of its previous 11 road contests. The Under is 2-1 in the past 3 meetings in this series, too.
