GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Middle Tennessee Softball is heading south to compete in the UF Softball Tournament. The Blue Raiders will play five games over the span of three days, with the first pitch of Middle Tennessee’s weekend on Friday, Feb. 20 at 12:00 p.m. CT against Lindenwood. Middle Tennessee will play the No. 4 Florida Gators two times this weekend, once on Friday at 6:00 p.m.Middle Tennessee will take on Lindenwood a second time on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 8:00 a.m. and will face Longwood directly after at 10:30 a.m. The Blue Raiders close out the weekend with a second matchup with the Gators at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22.

With Middle Tennessee’s win against Bellarmine last weekend, Head Coach Jeff Breeden reached the 300 career wins milestone. 



Halle Klaiber enters the weekend as one of just 15 pitchers in Division 1 to hold a 0.00 ERA. Klaiber leads Conference USA in ERA, opponent batting average and runs allowed. 



Jana Want batted .500 for the Blue Raiders at the Chattanooga Challenge, now leading Middle Tennessee in batting average and hits on the season. 



Macie Harter has totaled three hits this season, two of which have been triples. The sophomore currently leads Conference USA in triples and is tied for 10th in Division 1 in the stat category. 


Series History 

The Blue Raiders have never faced any of the opponents at this weekend’s tournament. This will be the first time Middle Tennessee Softball will play Lindenwood, Florida and Longwood.
