SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Children’s First Preschool hosted its annual snow day Friday, bringing two tons of artificial snow to give Florida children their first winter experience.
The artificial snow was produced on-site, creating a white pile for students to play in and explore. The event provides an educational and sensory development experience for young children who have never encountered snow.
The Rotary Club of Sarasota Bay sponsored the fifth annual snow day event. Students spent the morning playing in the artificial snow while learning about winter weather and developing sensory skills.
Andrea Martone, the school’s media and public relations representative, coordinated coverage of the event.
The preschool used the snow day as an educational opportunity, teaching children about health and sensory development through hands-on winter weather simulation.
