1. Trump says he’ll enact additional 10% global tariff after Supreme Court strikes down sweeping duties
Hours after the Supreme Court struck down many of President Donald Trump’s far-reaching tariffs in a 6-3 decision, the president said today he plans to sign an executive order imposing 10% global import duties “over and above our normal tariffs already being charged,” citing a different statute.Â
2. Filing taxes? ‘No tax on tips’ provision could affect thousands locally
This year when filing taxes, those who receive tips could get more money back in their pocket.
3. U.S. economy grows at 1.4% rate in fourth quarter, slower than economists expected
U.S. economic growth slowed in the final three months of last year, dragged down by the six-week shutdown of the federal government and a pullback in consumer spending.

5. All I-4 westbound lanes reopened after closure due to depression
All of the westbound lanes of Interstate 4 have reopened near the Champions Gate entrance after a depression closed the roadway on Thursday evening.

Your Notes for Tonight and Tomorrow
TRAFFIC NOTES |Â Expect extra delays on Tyrone Boulevard in St. Petersburg over the next 10 days. FDOT has started a paving project near the Tyrone Square Mall. traffic will be down to just one lane in each direction between 73rd and 68th streets, at all hours. Meanwhile, starting tonight at 11 p.m., the MLK Boulevard ramp to I-4 westbound in Tampa will shut down. It will be closed all weekend for road work. Drivers will be detoured to 50th Street and Columbus Drive to get on I-4. It is expected to reopen before 6 a.m. on Monday.
FIRE FEST |Â Hillsborough County will host the Prescribed Fire Fest tomorrow, and it will include interactive workshops, educational displays and food trucks. Kids can compete in a variety of games to test their wildland firefighting skills and can even earn their own Junior Wildland Firefighter helmet. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Edward Medard Conservation Park, 6140 Turkey Creek Rd., Plant City. The festival is free, but the park has an entry fee of $2 per vehicle.
YBOR CITY ANNIVERSARY | The Ybor City Chamber of Commerce invites the community to celebrate Ybor City’s 140th anniversary and honor its rich mosaic of cultures during the 79th Annual Fiesta Day, taking place tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. along 7th Avenue.
