TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A 17-year-old Godby High School student was arrested on Friday after bringing a BB gun to campus, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.
LCSO says a school administrator was told the 10th grader could have a firearm in their possession, so the student was taken from class and searched.
“During the search, a black metal BB gun was located inside the student’s backpack, along with multiple BBs,” LCSO reported in a press release.
The 17-year-old was taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center, where they are charged with possession of a dangerous weapon on school grounds.
