Brad Brownell’s Clemson Tigers will look to snap a three-game losing streak in ACC play when they host the rival Florida State Seminoles at Littlejohn Coliseum to close out Week 16 of the 2025-26 college basketball season.
The Tigers (20-7 overall, 10-4 conference), ranked No. 24 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, dropped their third straight in an 85-77 loss to Wake Forest on Wednesday night in Winston-Salem. Clemson fell behind 22-8 in the game’s first nine minutes. Juke Harris led all Deacs scorers with 20 points, one of five Wake Forest players to finish in double figures. Jake Wahlin led Clemson with 17 points, and Carter Welling and Ace Buckner added 13 apiece.
Florida State (13-13, 6-7) is coming off an 80-72 win over Boston College in Tallahassee on Tuesday. Robert McCray V, the Seminoles’ leading scorer at 15.2 PPG, led FSU with 27 points in the win over the Eagles, and Alex Steen added 13 points to go witb eight rebounds The Seminoles have won five of their last seven games.
Clemson and Florida State are meeting for the 88th time in series history. The Seminoles lead the series, 46-41. The Tigers have the last six head-to-head meetings, including a 77-57 victory over FSU on Jan. 11, 2025 at Littlejohn Coliseum, and a 72-46 win on Feb. 15 in the last matchup between the two programs.
