This means that Stardust Racers will remain closed for almost an entire additional week, reopening on Saturday, February 28.
Last month, Stardust Racers was closed for several days after the trains “valleyed” during testing and became stuck due to unusually high winds. A crane was brought in to recover the trains from their stuck positions on the track. The ride was closed for three days following the incident.
Located in Celestial Park, Stardust Racers is the signature roller coaster of Epic Universe and Universal’s first dueling coaster since Dragon Challenge (formerly Dueling Dragons) closed in 2017 at Islands of Adventure. It was replaced by Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
Epic Universe has been open for almost a year, but is still not operating at full capacity.
