Volunteer with the Irish at the International Folk Fair
Suncoast Irish & Gaelic Heritage, Inc. is seeking volunteers to help with the Irish Village at the 50th Celebration of the St. Petersburg International Folk Fair, March 5-7 at England Brothers Park in Pinellas Park.
The festival promotes cultures from around the world through education workshops and interactive sessions, including folk art, music and dance. March 5 and 6 are for school children only, and March 7 is open to the public.
Volunteer opportunities include staffing the cultural booth, welcoming guests, stamping passports, assisting students with education materials, supporting performers and interactive activities and assisting at the souvenir/sales booth.
Five shifts are available, with various start and end times, including helping with setup on March 4 and breakdown on March 8. Shifts last approximately 3 to 3-1/2 hours.
Volunteers must be 16 years and older and community credit is available for students needing volunteer hours.
England Brothers Park is located at 5010 81st Avenue N., Pinellas Park.

Uncork A Cure for Parkinson’s

On Monday, March 2 from 6 until 9 p.m., the Parkinson’s Foundation Florida chapter is hosting “Uncork a Cure for Parkinson’s,” a wine tasting event to raise funds for Parkinson’s research and patient advocacy.
The event will take place at Christine’s Fine Wines, Bistro and More, 442 2nd Street N., St. Petersburg. The evening will also feature food and drink specials throughout the night and raffles for bottles of wine, gift baskets, gift cards and other prizes.
One-hundred percent of all ticket sales and proceeds go directly to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
All guests must be 21 and over.

2026 Comic Con seeks volunteers
Hosted by the Clearwater Public Library System and Parks and Recreation, the 2026 Comic Con takes place Saturday, March 5 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Countryside Recreation Center, 2640 Sabal Springs Dr., Clearwater.
This family-friendly event celebrates comic books and everything fan-related. It features special guests, vendors, food trucks, artists and other activities.

Volunteers are needed to help set up, check in vendors, answer directional questions, welcome attendees, monitor the food truck area and help clean up afterwards.
Two shifts are available: 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and 1 until 6 p.m.

Volunteer for Cross Bayou/Joe’s Creek cleanup

Pinellas County Environmental Management and Keep Pinellas Beautiful are hosting a spring cleanup at Cross Bayou Canal and Joe’s Creek, Saturday, March 7, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as part of the Great American Cleanup.
Volunteers are needed to help remove trash and debris from the waterways and mangroves. Volunteers can bring their own canoe or kayak or borrow one when registering (first come/first serve). Lifejackets are required.
All cleaning supplies, including trash grabbers, bags, gloves and drinking water will be provided. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, and bring a chair or towel to sit on.
Check-in begins at 8 a.m. at 78th Street and 70th Avenue N., St. Petersburg. Lunch will be provided and a free raffle drawing will take place at the end of the event.
Volunteers must be 18 or older. Registration closes March 5.

Kids Can: Cleanup at Treasure Island Beach
Keep Pinellas Beautiful, in partnership with Roots and Shoots Tampa Bay, the City of Treasure Island and Treasure Island Adopt-A-Beach for Hope in Action 2026, is hosting a cleanup for students in grades K-12 and their families – Sunday, March 8 from 9 a.m. until noon at Treasure Island Beach.
As part of the Environmental Action Days, the event is designed to educate youth in the community about the importance of environmental stewardship.

Participants are asked to wear closed toe shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Supplies, including gloves, trash bags, trash pickers, sunscreen, bug spray and hand sanitizer will be provided. A water refill station will also be available.
Anyone under the age of 18 must be signed in by a parent or guardian.
Volunteers are to meet at the Treasure Island Beach Gulf Front Park Lot, 10451 Gulf Blvd., Treasure Island.
