JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two men were shot after a heated argument in the parking lot of a Lowe’s Home Improvement store on Oldfield Crossing Drive in Mandarin escalated to a shootout.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, around 2 p.m., the two men got into an argument in the Lowe’s parking lot, which led to both men shooting at each other.
After the shooting, officers located a vehicle involved in the incident near Old St. Augustine Road and Bartram Park Boulevard. Police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the wrist.

A man in his 20s was hit in the stomach and chest and taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition. The other man who was shot in the wrist, was in non-life-threatening.
Kaleb Tubman, a witness, described how he stepped in to help the man who was shot multiple times.
“I run over. I had an extra pair of shorts in the truck, grab that and immediately start applying pressure to his wounds. Trying to help him as best as I could and I have no clue if he made it or not but I’m just praying he did,” Tubman said.
JSO believed all people involved in the incident were in custody.
No other people were injured.
At this point, it was unclear what caused the argument.
