SHOOTING. I’M CALEB CALIFANO ON PALM BEACH FOR WESH TWO NEWS. A MAN IS NOW IN CUSTODY AFTER DEPUTIES SAY HE SHOT HIS 83 YEAR-OLD WIFE AT THEIR ORANGE COUNTY HOME. INVESTIGATORS ARRESTED WILLIAM SIMONS AFTER THAT SHOOTING. WESH TWO TONY ATKINS IS LIVE AT OCSO HEADQUARTERS TONIGHT. AND TONY, YOU SPOKE WITH SOME OF THE COUPLE’S FAMILY. YEAH, I SAW A FEW FAMILY MEMBERS AT THE HOUSE TODAY WHERE THE SHOOTING HAPPENED. AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, THEY DIDN’T WANT TO QUITE GO ON CAMERA AT THIS POINT. THEY SAY IT REALLY WAS A TREMENDOUS LOSS. THE TRAGEDY INSIDE THIS HOME ON ROSEMARY COURT IN ORANGE COUNTY. WILLIAM SIMONS, NOW IN CUSTODY, CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE MURDER. DEPUTIES ARRESTED HIM SUNDAY. INVESTIGATORS SAY HE SHOT AND KILLED HIS 83 YEAR OLD WIFE, NANCY SIMMONS. SHE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. I SPOKE WITH SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO LIVE NEARBY. THEY REMEMBER THE LARGE CRIME SCENE ON SATURDAY, BUT THEY WERE SHOCKED TO HEAR IT INVOLVED THE COUPLE. WHEN WESH TWO ARRIVED, WE SPOKE WITH THE LOVED ONE, WHO SAID THE FAMILY WASN’T READY TO SPEAK AT THIS TIME. Husband arrested on first-degree murder charge in wife’s death, deputies say

An 83-year-old woman was found dead, and her husband was arrested on a first-degree murder charge, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.OCSO identified Nancy Lee Simmons as the victim, pronounced dead at the scene.
