GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Monday through Thursday, the Marion County Clerk of Court is hosting marriage license and passport day events. They’ll be open longer hours, letting residents get new passports, photos for those passports, and marriage licenses. Appointments are required for all those services.
Newt Perry is being honored with his very own star in the Ocala Walk of Fame. Perry is a swimmer from Ocala, who city leaders say is a pioneer in underwater filmmaking. They’ll unveil his star on the walk of fame starting at noon on Tuesday.

This Friday, TV20’s Hawah Ezell and Ryan Hayes will emcee the Education Foundation’s Gala at the UF Hilton Conference Center. The event is a fundraiser supporting education in Alachua County. They’re giving money to several nonprofits, grants and scholarships. Tickets are $150. The event starts at 6 p.m.
