Get Rescued Animal Rescue Festival

10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28. 3000 Beach Blvd. S., Gulfport. Meet representatives and adoptable pets from up to 50 animal rescue groups, check out the Florida Wiener Dog Derby, shop local at the marketplace, and learn from the best with professional animal training demonstrations and pet care workshops. Discovery Day

Children between the ages of 8-13 are invited to a behind-the-scenes look at the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. Education stations will include vehicle displays, a modified version of the Physical Abilities Test course, a hands-on forensic science experience, and can test their skills on the Targeted Response Against Distracted Driving course. Scholarship Luncheon and Fashion Show

Haiku Workshop in the Gardens
