Temperature highs are in the mid-50s as Central Florida prepares for a dangerously cold night.

Monday will be sunny with a high near 56 and wind chill values as low as 34, according to NWS Melbourne.

Winds are blowing northwest at 15 to 20 mph with gusts at 25 to 35 mph, which, combined with low humidity, produce critical fire weather conditions.

There are hazardous beach and marine conditions with a high risk of life-threatening rip currents, gale warning and small craft advisories.

Heading into the overnight, a freeze warning is in effect across much of Central Florida from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to NWS Melbourne.

Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 20s to low 30s.
