Miami Worldcenter Associates and Miami-Dade County officially unveiled the newly renamed and refurbished Miami Worldcenter Metromover Station (formerly Park West Station) during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Feb. 6, at 800 NE Second Ave. in Downtown Miami.

The ceremony celebrated the station’s transformation and renaming, reinforcing its role as a primary transit gateway to Miami Worldcenter, the city’s largest transit-oriented development. The station provides seamless connectivity to Metromover, Metrorail, Metrobus, and Brightline, further strengthening Downtown Miami’s transit network.

Located in the heart of Downtown Miami, Miami Worldcenter is a $6 billion, 27-acre master-planned development spanning 10 city blocks. As the second largest urban mixed-use development in the United States, it brings together high-street retail, hospitality, residential, office, and entertainment uses within a highly walkable, transit-connected urban environment.

As part of a public-private partnership, Miami Worldcenter’s development team made a series of improvements to the station – including upgraded lighting, seating, and signage – through a $1.85 million investment at no cost to the county.

The enhanced station further integrates Miami Worldcenter with the surrounding community, providing direct access to a rapidly growing neighborhood that now includes thousands of residential units, major national retailers, restaurants, and public spaces.

The ceremony featured remarks and participation from Miami-Dade County leadership and Miami Worldcenter representatives, followed by the official unveiling of the new station signage and a ribbon-cutting.

During the ceremony, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Keon Hardemon, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Damian Pardo, director of the Department of Transportation & Public Works Stacy L. Miller, and managing partner of Miami Worldcenter Associates Nitin Motwani highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration in enhancing transit access, improving the rider experience, and reinforcing the Miami Worldcenter Station’s role in supporting and revitalizing the neighborhood.

With more than $100 million already invested in infrastructure improvements across the district, Miami Worldcenter continues to prioritize connectivity and accessibility as central pillars of its long-term vision for Downtown Miami. The station improvements coincide with continued momentum at Miami Worldcenter, where a growing mix of retail, dining, entertainment, and residential offerings are now open and serving residents, workers, and visitors from across South Florida.
