The Coral Gables Community Foundation successfully hosted its 17th annual Tour of Kitchens & Tropical Living on Saturday, Feb. 7, welcoming residents, sponsors, designers, and culinary partners for one of the community’s most anticipated charitable events.
Proceeds from the Tour support the foundation’s scholarship programs and charitable grants benefiting Coral Gables and its nonprofit partners.
The foundation extends its deepest gratitude to Presenting Sponsor Mosaicist and founder Ray Corral, for their generous support of the 2026 Tour of Kitchens & Tropical Living.
The self-guided tour featured a curated mix of private residences and design destinations, concluding with a post-event celebration at Maison & Co. Throughout the day, guests enjoyed culinary tastings, vendor showcases, and design inspiration while supporting the Foundation’s mission of impactful philanthropy.
The foundation extends its sincere thanks to event committee co-chairs Xavier Durana and Liz Parnes, along with the dedicated Tour of Kitchens Committee, whose leadership and commitment made the 2026 Tour of Kitchens possible. Their efforts, combined with the generosity of sponsors, homeowners, restaurants, vendors, and volunteers, ensured another successful year for this long-standing Coral Gables tradition.
“The 2026 Tour of Kitchens & Tropical Living reflects the generosity, creativity, and civic pride that define our city,” said Mauricio Vivero, president and CEO. “Events like this allow us to continue investing in scholarships, grants, and programs that strengthen our community.”
Since its founding in 1991, the Coral Gables Community Foundation has invested more than $30 million in grants, scholarships, and community initiatives. In 2025 alone, the foundation and its fundholders awarded over $6 million in grants and scholarships to local organizations and students.
Michael McCarthy, chair of the board of directors, added, “The Tour of Kitchens & Tropical Living is a powerful example of what can be accomplished when a community comes together in support of philanthropy. We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated and helped advance the foundation’s work.”
The Coral Gables Community Foundation is a trusted philanthropic partner dedicated to improving the quality of life in Coral Gables. Through grantmaking, scholarships, donor-advised funds, and endowment management, the foundation connects charitable resources with community needs, supporting nonprofit organizations, students, and initiatives that strengthen and enrich the city.
