Approximately 7,000 guests are expected each day for the fifth annual We Belong Here Miami mega-concert Feb. 27-March 1 on the grounds of Historic Virginia Key Beach Park.

Traffic on the Rickenbacker Causeway will be heavy that weekend but if you’re looking for something local, we’ve got you covered.

“There’s so much happening on the Key that weekend, there’s no reason to leave and stress yourself out with all the traffic,” said Tatyana Chiocchetti, Executive Director of the Key Biscayne Chamber of Commerce.

Some Key Biscayne businesses will be stepping up with special promotions of their own that weekend, as well, to keep the spirit within the community.

Among the events on Key Biscayne:

• * Open House Miami includes a visit to the 200-year-old Cape Florida Lighthouse on from 10 a.m.-1 p.m, on Feb. 27. Free tickets have been available, thanks to The Friends of Cape Florida, but the event is already sold out.
