TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Texas man was sentenced to five months in jail for his part in a stolen car scheme.
Court documents show Waseem Abdelfattah entered a no contest plea to several charges including possession of burglary tools and fraudulent vehicle registration documents.
His five month sentence will be followed by 40 months of probation.

In 2025, Abdelfattah and Alonzo Cruz-Reyes were arrested following a traffic stop in Leon County.
According to court records, Florida Highway Patrol pulled the pair over and found the Vehicle Identification Number of the Corvette Abdelfattah was driving was fake.
When troopers searched the vehicle, they found several key fobs, fake vehicle documents, and car theft tools.
Cruz-Reyes, of Florida, has not gone to trial yet.
