PORT ST. LUCIE — A 65-year-old motorcyclist died Monday after a crash involving an SUV on Crosstown Parkway, according to the Port St. Lucie Police Department.

The crash occurred about 11:55 a.m. near Southwest Crosstown Parkway and Southwest Southern Hills Drive, police said.

Rescue crews transported the motorcyclist to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce, where he was later pronounced dead.

Crosstown Parkway, originally closed between Southwest Southern Hills Boulevard and Southwest Cresswind Way as officers investigated the crash, is now open.

The incident remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released.
