The 54-year-old woman was charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — A Pinellas County mother was arrested after police say she tried to attack and stab her daughter’s boyfriend.
The Pinellas Park Police Department responded around 4:30 p.m. Monday to a home in the area of 108th Avenue, where officials found three people, including two who had stab wounds.
During the investigation, officers said 54-year-old Sandra Kegley tried to attack her daughter’s boyfriend, 23-year-old Eric Smith.
Kegley’s daughter, 25-year-old Kyrsten Bleattler, was also injured when she reportedly tried to intervene.
Bleattler and Smith were taken to a local hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Kegley was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
