It’s never too early to plan your next summer vacation.

Breeze Airways will soon expand its Florida service out of Broward County, adding new nonstop routes and increasing flight frequencies from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport early this summer.

The carrier announced Tuesday, Feb. 24, it will begin offering nonstop service to Florida’s capital city, Tallahassee, on July 2, with one-way fares starting at $39. The flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursday and Sundays.

“Breeze was designed for convenience, and these routes will make it easier than ever for our guests in the region to get where they want to go,” founder and CEO David Neelema said in a news release.

In the rollout, the airline announced 11 new or expanded routes from FLL, five of which strengthen its “intra-Florida” network.

In addition to the state capital, the airline will add new service routes to Jacksonville and Tampa, starting on July 1.

Nonstop and one-way daily fares to Jacksonville will start from $49, while nonstop service to Tampa will operate 13 times weekly from $40 one way.

Breeze’s existing route to Pensacola will increase to six times weekly, also beginning on July 1.

With these expansions, Breeze will service 14 cities out of Fort Lauderdale. This comes as the carrier began service in Broward almost four months ago, on Nov. 5

“Some flights out of Fort Lauderdale are routes that used to have air service by a number of carriers and people have not had that option,” Lukas Johnson, the airline’s chief commercial officer, told the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Johnson told the Sun Sentinel the airline is confident it can sustain service to and from Tallahassee, a market that has historically has been a challenge for airlines.

In addition to its Florida expansion, the airline will be increasing its service to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a route that began operating from FLL on Jan. 16.
