A house fire in northwest Cape Coral early Monday morning required a contingent of nine different fire apparatus to extinguish.
“The fire originated on the back lanai but spread into the attic causing extensive damage,” Cape Coral Fire Department officials reported. “The four residents and their dog were able to safely exit the home with no injuries.”
Engines 7, 8, 11 and 12, as well as Ladder 5, Tender 8, Rescue 8, and Battalions 2 and 3 responded to the fire in the 2400 block of Northwest 21st Terrace just after 6 a.m., according to CCFD.
There were visible flames coming through the roof towards the back of the home.
Without a fire hydrant nearby, Tender 8 provided the water supply.
Smoke billowed from the home causing a haze, with numerous firefighters combatting the flames.
