JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said two people were shot and taken to the hospital after someone approached them in the Oceanway neighborhood.
According to police, deputies responded to a home on Hayden Lakes Circle around 7:15 p.m. after reports of shots being fired.
When officers arrived, they found one victim of the shooting was struck in the chest, while the other was struck in the thigh.
Both injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, police said.
JSO added that there is currently no information about the suspect.
According to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, one adult was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and a pediatric patient was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries related to this incident.
