Strategic Property Partners has revealed two fresh dining spots at Sparkman Wharf in Water Street Tampa. Smith’s Provisions and The Back Bar will debut in March under Cru Hospitality Group’s watch.

Smith’s Provisions will dish out quick-service meals outdoors with an American menu that draws inspiration from roadside burger joints. Handhelds take center stage here, with craft burgers as the main attraction.

The Back Bar will pour craft cocktails alongside a carefully selected wine collection. Guests can sip drinks while soaking in waterfront views. Both spots will run on the same schedule as the wharf itself.

Cru Hospitality Group runs Wine on Water and Small Giant on Water Street, plus Bouzy in Hyde Park Village and Cru Cellars in Palma Ceia. Kyle King leads the company as Chief Executive Officer.

“All of our concepts start with place first, and Smith’s Provisions and The Back Bar were intentionally designed for Sparkman Wharf from day one,” said King to That’s So Tampa. “We’ve designed both concepts to feel natural within the Sparkman Wharf experience.”

King explained that the menu, bar offerings, and service speed were crafted so both venues feel like they’ve been part of this destination all along. The company pointed out that each was created to match the vibe present at this waterfront location.

Strategic Property Partners described both as “purpose-built to complement the energy, walkability, and open-air activation” of the location. These new arrivals will widen the dining choices at Tampa’s open-air waterfront spot.

Both venues should open their doors come March. They’ll stand alongside the current food and drink selections at the wharf in Water Street Tampa.
