The rainbow-filled party weekend is on once again.
After announcing the event would not happen in 2026 earlier this year, GayDays Orlando has reversed course and said it will continue at a new home. Â
The comeback will take place at the Holiday Inn & Suites on Celebration, 5711 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee, on June 4 through 7.Â
Organizers had previously cited changes to their host hotel agreement, the loss of key sponsors and broader challenges facing LGBTQIA+ events nationwide. At the time, they described the pause as temporary and promised supporters the event would return stronger and more sustainable.
Now, with a new venue secured, that return is official.
Gay Days began in the early 1990s as a community tradition when people chose to wear red and visit the Disney parks together. What started as an informal show of visibility gradually expanded beyond the parks.
Over time, Gay Days grew into a full weekend experience, and organizers formalized an event that included host hotels, pool parties, shows and events produced by GayDays, Inc.
Both share the same history, organizers say — one rooted in community, the other in structured programming.
For more than three decades, GayDays has helped transform Orlando into a Pride Month playground each early summer, overlapping with other queer-centered events Girls in Wonderland, One Magical Weekend and Bear Jamboree (all of which are scheduled to happen in 2026). The result: thousands of LGBTQ+ visitors flooding hotels, theme parks and nightlife spots for days of pool parties, DJs, live entertainment and sun-soaked celebration.
