FORT PIERCE — How about some bowties and in-person conversation with your breakfast?
The Inner Truth Project will host Breakfast & Bowties, a free community gathering designed to spark honest conversations about men’s mental health, allyship, and positive masculinity, on March 21.
The event will bring together fathers, mentors, business leaders, and teenage boys from across the Treasure Coast.
Men in the United States account for nearly 80% of suicide deaths, and one in four young men reports frequent loneliness, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Breakfast & Bowties aims to counter isolation by creating space for connection, dialogue, and community support.
“This event isn’t just about awareness,” said Jessica Bright, executive director of The Inner Truth Project. “It’s about building a culture where men feel seen, supported, and connected.”
The Inner Truth Project is a not for profit that provides trauma-informed therapy, education, and community programs that promote healing, prevention, and healthier models of masculinity and allyship.
The 90-minute program includes a keynote address by comedian Dewayne Hill, a panel discussion on allyship and leadership, community awards, and facilitated table conversations.
The event goes from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., March 21, at the Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex at Indian River State College. Breakfast and networking begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the program at 10 a.m.
Attendance is free, but space is limited to 150 participants. Registration is required at https://tinyurl.com/4v6edpv5 or call (772) 200-4599.
The Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex is located at 4600 Kirby Loop Road, Fort Pierce.
