Milo Aukerman went into the crowd last Tuesday at Jannus Live where he was warmly received by fans who’ve grown used to seeing the Descendents frontman bring the band to town.

The crowd was plenty hot, too, after opening sets by the U.K’s prince of punk, Frank Turner, and Canadian superstar-in-the-making, Nobro.

WE LOVE OUR READERS!

And are love this community. Since 1988, Creative Loafing has been Tampa Bay’s free, independent voice and we want to keep it that way—so in 2026 a group of employees joined two new partners to buy the paper and make it locally-owned for the first time since 2009.

We want to expand our coverage of local news, food, nightlife, events, and culture with no paywalls through our new Tampa Bay Journalism Project initiative.

Pitch in today because you love this community, too.
