SPECIAL TO FLORIDA WEEKLY

The Captiva Civic Association (CCA) is hosting local artist Lacy McClary’s art show, “Somewhere Over the Causeway.” CCA’s 2025-2026 season is sponsored by Karen Bell and the Bell Team, Michael Saunders and Company and the art series is sponsored by Bank of the Islands.

The show will remain on exhibition from Feb. 19 – March 12, and the gallery is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lacy McClary has created her beautiful artwork out of two local studios over the last 18 years. Recently losing both her Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach studios in Hurricane Ian has not deterred Lacy from touching the community with her color and inspiration. She recently donated her time for painting the Legacy Tower in Times Square on Fort Myers Beach to bring color, hope and life back to the beach she loves so much. She is currently accepting commission work as she transitions into her future studio.

Her abstract viewpoint guides you to look past the broken and see the beautiful.

Her hope is that her work inspires joy and a fresh perspective on the beauty that surrounds us.
