TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV/Gray Florida Capital Bureau) – The Florida House has approved a bill that would end the requirement to place an annual registration sticker on license plates.
Under the bill, law enforcement officers would rely on technology they already use to verify vehicle registration, rather than the physical sticker. All other aspects of vehicle registration would remain the same, including annual renewals.

The state could save $24 million by no longer printing registration stickers.
The bill now goes to the Senate, where no hearing has been scheduled in the final days of the session.
