Cape Coral weighs Jaycee Park food truck court deal | GB Daily

Cape Coral officials are discussing an agreement to add a food truck court and concession area at Jaycee Park as renovations near completion. The waterfront park on Southeast 20th Place has been closed for more than a year for upgrades, including a bistro, playground, picnic areas and fitness stations, and is expected to reopen in April. The city is negotiating a 20-year agreement with Kearns Restaurant Group to operate the concession area, which includes a payment of more than $1 million plus interest. Residents have expressed both support and concerns as the proposal awaits a City Council vote, WINK News reports.
