Mariner has gone a perfect 10-0 against Cape Coral recently and they’ll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tritons will look to defend their home field against the Seahawks at 6:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Mariner didn’t have quite enough to beat North Fort Myers and fell 5-4. The loss put an end to the Tritons’ undefeated start to the season.

Thiana Condappa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it’s clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn’t tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she’s pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Calleigh Buzard made the most of her time in the batter’s box despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Moore, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Cape Coral came out on top against Neumann on Monday thanks in part to the team’s impressive four-run fifth inning. The Seahawks walked away with an 8-5 win over the Celtics.
Cape Coral also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Emma Brannan gave up just two earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 13 Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Taylor Buice, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Brielle Pachick was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Cape Coral kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That’s the most hits they’ve posted since back in March of 2025.
Having lost for the first time this season, Mariner fell to 2-1. As for Cape Coral, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Mariner has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.3 strikeouts per game. However, it’s not like Cape Coral struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging an even more impressive 12.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Mariner got the ‘W’ in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Cape Coral by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Tritons repeat their success, or do the Seahawks have a new game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
