South Jerseyans looking to escape to the warmth should soon have the option of a direct Breeze Airways flight from Atlantic City to Tampa.

Breeze Airways is a new partner of Atlantic City International Airport, with the first flights occurring in May to Charleston and Raleigh.

“We’re pleased to see our newest airline partner, Breeze Airways, expand its plans even before launching services at ACY,” Stephen Dougherty, South Jersey Transportation Authority executive director, said in a press release.

Breeze Airways originally announced the Tampa flights alongside the Charleston and Raleigh flights, noting that service to the Florida city would begin June 11. But these flights have been seemingly pushed back, with the latest press release noting that Tampa flights are to begin July 1.

Flights to Tampa are to be nonstop and occur on Wednesdays and Saturdays. According to the press release, prices begin at $79 for one way.
