In a joke statement posted to social media, TPA said “it’s time” to ban pajamas in its facility.

TAMPA, Fla. — If you have a flight coming up at Tampa International Airport, heed the warning: don’t wear pajamas.

In a joke statement posted to social media, TPA said “it’s time” to ban pajamas in its facility.

“We’ve seen enough. We’ve had enough,” the post reads.

The post is a continuing joke on a previous post TPA made in November, calling to ban crocs at the airport, and now says it is taking on “an even larger crisis.”

“We know this decision could be disruptive to someone in your life,” TPA’s statement reads. “It’s time to have a difficult conversation with them. You can do this. We (and Phoebe) believe in you.”

While this statement is lighthearted, this isn’t the first time pajamas at airports have been discussed in recent memory.

In late November, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy launched a “civility campaign,” asking passengers to dress “with respect,” including not wearing pajamas at the airport.

“I can’t mandate you dress up, but don’t wear pajamas and slippers to the airport. I think if you dress a little better, you behave a little better,” he said at the time.

TPA is now asking for “help” to become the world’s first crocs and pajamas-free airport.

“Do your part. Say no to pajamas at TPA.”
