Florida Highway Patrol said the two children who were seriously hurt are a 4-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl, both from Callahan.

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — A 59-year-old Baldwin woman was killed in a crash Thursday morning, while three others were seriously injured, including two children, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

In a press release, FHP said the woman had just pulled out of a driveway in the 2400 block US-301 near Summerfield Lane before the crash happened.

According to FHP, a gray Ford pickup truck was traveling northbound on US-301 in the left lane when the woman drove straight across the northbound lanes of the highway to pull into the grass median, causing the driver of the pickup truck to hit the left side of the woman’s Honda.

FHP said the woman was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the pickup truck, identified as a 28-year-old Callahan woman, was seriously injured in the crash. The two others who were seriously injured – a 4-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl – were passengers in the woman’s Honda.

The identities of the individuals were not released.
