Udinski, in his first season as a coordinator in 2025, interviewed with the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns for their then-vacant head-coaching positions following the ’25 season. Campanile, also in his first season as a coordinator in 2025, interviewed with the Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals for their then-vacant head coaching positions following the ’25 season.
“You hire two first-timers thinking you’re going to maybe have a little bit of a runway with those guys,” Coen said. “Then you have Year 1 success, and those things come with it. It’s great to get those two back and really to have continuity at all three of our coordinator positions – especially because there was turnover last year.
“There has been turnover in multiple years at the coordinator positions here, so I didn’t really want to have to go and really hire, but you want to support guys throughout that process. They deserve those opportunities to come. For people to talk to those guys is an honor in and of itself.”
Farwell will enter his fourth season with the Jaguars next season, with the Jaguars generally considered one of the NFL’s better special teams during his tenure.
“I think low-key people don’t realize we were another top five special-teams unit,” Coen said. “He just keeps churning out with a bunch of new starters in that phase.”
