Over 200 pounds of methamphetamine were seized during a joint investigation involving local and federal agencies, according to the Jacksonville Police Department.
On Wednesday, Feb. 25, members of the department’s Special Investigations Unit worked alongside the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration to seize 222 pounds of methamphetamine.

As part of the investigation, detectives arrested 48-year-old Manuel Aguirre-Ambrocio of Perris, California. He has been charged with three counts of trafficking methamphetamine and is being held without bond in the Onslow County Jail.
