TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Three days of Banana Ball kicked off with a Loco Beach Coconuts win over the Firefighters in front a sell out crowd at Dick Howser Stadium.
Thursday’s game also marked the return of former Florida State player Logan Lacey, who is a Tallahassee native, graduating from Godby High School before playing junior college baseball at Tallahassee State College.
Lacey said he gave away all of his allotted tickets, and getting to come home and play inside Howser again is something he was thankful for.
“I almost teared up a little bit, like oh my God, I get to go home,” he said before the game on Thursday. “I get to do this all over with my family, so I was excited.”
