The Carolina Hurricanes beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-4 on Sebastian Aho’s game-winner.
Goal right after coming back from the Olympics and all that. How does that feel for you and it was game winner on top of that? Yeah, good win. Obviously that was the, we wanted to start with the right way and. And uh we were able to win a good hockey team, right? So, uh, yeah, uh, scoring a goal, obviously a bonus, but uh we were, we were here looking for the 2 points we got it. You’re happy with the way you’re able to lock things down a little in the 3rd. I know it was kind of back and forth for the first two, but limited them to just a few shots. Yeah, I mean. Yeah, I mean, for sure, that’s, uh, they, they have some, uh, high-end offense, uh, offensive players there and, uh, not the easiest job to keep them off the scoring chances and, and whatnot, but, uh, third period I thought I was pretty solid. How much of a difference has Jordan made just being a net front guy on the power play? It takes up a lot of space, right? Yeah, I mean, you said it. I think we, uh, we talked about it to, to have a little bit more, uh, the guy. You know, around the net and whether he scores or not, at least it, you know, you know, takes, uh, takes usually one of their D-men up to the net front too and creates more traffic and stuff like that. So, uh, yeah, he’s been really good at that. For a lot of these guys knocking out a game for knockout Ross. Did you feel like you still had your feet on you from having played at the Olympics, or was there maybe a little hangover from there of having played so much hockey? Uh, well, personally I felt pretty, uh, gassed, to be quite honest, but, uh, yeah, I mean, I, I thought my wingers were working really hard and, uh, yeah, played, uh, played OK game and obviously against their top line, so, uh, yeah, we were fine. Thank you. Thanks.
