PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women’s lacrosse team (1-1) will head to Florida this weekend to take on Jacksonville (2-0) on Friday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. and USF (3-1) on Sunday, Mar. 1 at 12 p.m.

Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting Brown

Ruby Sliwkowski has eight goals in two games this season, the junior has scored or assisted on 10 of the Bears’ 23 goals. Sliwkowski’s 4.0 goals per game ranks tied for second in the Ivy League.

Adele Atherton and Riley Peterson each have three goals so far this season, Atherton is tied for second on the Bears with four points with Kiki Tormey.

In her first two collegiate starts, Mackenzie Conway has made 14 saves.

Scouting Jacksonville

The Dolphins are outscoring their opponents 31-12 through two games this season, they also have 32 draw controls while their opponents have 15.

Jacksonville has three players with at least five goals this season in Shae Hagans (6), Maeve Brennan (5), and Olivia Johnson (5). Brennan leads the squad with seven points along with Jessica Giller.

Scouting USF

The Bulls head into their matchup with Brown having outscored their opponents 70-35 through four games. South Florida’s lone loss this season came in a 16-10 defeat against Michigan (Feb. 15). The Bulls have claimed victories against Niagara, Stetson, and Mercer.

Sophia Chepenik leads the Bulls in goals (16), points (18), shots (32), and shots on goal (26).

History

This will be Brown’s first-ever meetings with Jacksonville and USF.

What’s Next

Brown will return home to begin Ivy League play on Saturday, Mar. 7 against Cornell, the opening draw control is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Fans can purchase tickets here.
