I’m ticked off that the city is going to make Orange and Magnolia two-way streets. This is a terrible idea and will not entice more people downtown but just cause more confusion and gridlock. I would rather hike the Sahara Desert barefoot than to set foot in downtown Orlando!
I’m a foodie. I enjoy food, I cook regularly, host the holidays and participate on the food ministry at my church. I have shopped at Publix for more years than I can count. Publix usually has what I want and the people are very pleasant. However, shopping at Publix is no longer a pleasure. I shopped at Winn-Dixie yesterday and, boy, was it a pleasure. Unfortunately, I will no longer be shopping at Publix due to your decision to allow open carry of guns. I’m not looking for a shootout in the cantaloupe corral. No, thank you. I will no longer shop at Publix. I have other choices and I can also save a little money while I shop elsewhere. Time to re-think your open carry decision.
To all of you ticked off at Publix for allowing open carry of firearms: Why not complain to the state lawmakers who enacted this ridiculous law? Publix isn’t the only venue where you will encounter people with their open carry.

The flip side

Thank you for printing “Rose is Rose” in your daily funnies.  My spouse and I have been married more than 40 years.  We took a play from Rose and Jimbo’s playbook and start each day with a long kiss and even a couple times more during the day.  It was forced at first but soon became natural. We sometimes giggle or hum during the kiss.  I can’t say how our relationship is better, but it is, thanks to Jimbo and Rose’s example.
