An advisory was in effect for parts of the Tampa Bay area as dense fog severely reduced visibility Friday morning, February 27, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.
The fog was expected to affect west central and southwest Florida through 9 am, according to the weather service.
“Drive slowly and increase your distance from other vehicles,” the NWS advised motorists. “Use low-beam headlights.”
