TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Another person is entering the race for Florida’s second congressional district.
Army veteran Anthony Stephens announced his candidacy Tuesday. He said he wants to make government small again, defend Florida values and stand up for rural communities overlooked by Washington.
Stephens is a self-declared conservative and joins seven republicans including Florida GOP chairman Evan Power, and three democrats in the race.
The congressional seat is currently held by Republican Neal Dunn, but the Congressman announced that he is withdrawing his re-election bid.
