A Miami-Dade code enforcement officer said he was left bleeding after a violent road rage attack in southwest Miami-Dade, an incident he captured on his body-worn camera.
According to police, Officer David Felix was on duty in October when he noticed a pickup truck behind him flashing its headlights.
Felix moved over to allow the truck to pass, but investigators say the situation quickly escalated when the men inside the pickup pulled up alongside him and began confronting him.
Felix is heard on body camera video saying someone was trying to run him off the road.

Authorities say the confrontation intensified near Southwest 288th Street and 144th Avenue. Police allege that Niosly Rodriguez and Idael Vasquez got out of their truck and approached the officer as he attempted to photograph their vehicle.
Felix told investigators he was punched multiple times in the face and pinned against his vehicle with the truck door. He said the blows left him bleeding.
A witness who saw the encounter unfold told police she immediately called 911 after seeing one of the men jump out of the truck and approach the officer.
After the alleged October beating, authorities say the two men fled the scene.
An arrest report states both Rodriguez and Vasquez were later identified and taken into custody this month on charges of battery on a code enforcement officer.
Jail records show both men have since bonded out. Court records indicate the state has not yet formally filed charges, but both defendants have entered not guilty pleas. A judge has ordered them to have no contact with Officer Felix.
