The NTT IndyCar Series is ready for the 2026 season opener at St. Petersburg. On Friday, IndyCar completed the first practice of the 2026 season; however, it didn’t go without issues. During practice, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver Louis Foster wrecked but lucked out from having too much damage.
It is a tough start to the 2026 IndyCar season for Dixon, but the No. 45 team won’t have to bring out the backup car. Below, you can watch Foster’s crash during the first practice session of 2026 at St. Petersburg.
Foster should be OK moving forward, but it remains to be seen if the No. 45 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing car loses any performance throughout the race weekend. With the NASCAR Truck Series also racing at St. Petersburg, the Goodyear tire rubber could make it more difficult for the drivers this weekend.
