FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The city of Fort Lauderdale is set to host its 46th annual Sistrunk Parade and Festival on Saturday morning.

The event, which begins at 8:45 a.m. on Sistrunk Boulevard, is expected to draw about 5,000 attendees.

Local 10 anchor Calvin Hughes is one of four grand marshals for this year’s parade.

The annual celebration honors diversity and highlights the historic African American community whose culture and contributions have helped shape Fort Lauderdale.
