The BBC’s White House reporter Bernd Debusmann Jr is in Palm Beach, Florida, where President Donald Trump is once again directing US military action.
The president used his Mar-a-Lago estate as a command centre for US operations most recently against Venezuela in January and his first attack against Iran in June 2025.
On 28 February, President Trump said “major combat operations” were under way in Iran, and urged Iranians to “take over” the government.
