JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 16-ranked North Florida Beach Volleyball fell to No. 14-ranked Florida Atlantic, 4-1, on the final day of the Seminole Beach Bash at the Florida State Beach Volleyball Courts on Saturday.
Florida Atlantic secured the match score with wins at the one, two, three and five line. Senior Madison Espy and sophomore Natalie Villalon responded to a first-set loss to take the next two sets and earn a 16-21, 26-24, 15-11 win on the four line. The pair has now turned in back-to-back wins.
Four of the five matches went to a third set. Freshman pair Samantha Crosby and Kamryn McDonald forced a third set on the three line with a 21-16 second-set win.
North Florida returns to the sand to host the DUUVAL Duals on March 6-7.
