Police identify Jacksonville man as motorcyclist killed in Thursday collision

JACKSONVILLE, Texas (KTRE) – A 50-year-old Jacksonville man died Friday following a collision between his motorcycle and a SUV on Loop 456 in Jacksonville.

Bradley Gene McGuire, 50, of Jacksonville, was struck around 4:24 p.m. Friday by a black SUV exiting Pebble Brook Apartments onto Loop 456, according to Jacksonville police spokesperson Amanda Bragg.

A preliminary report revealed Jackson collided with the vehicle driving southbound and was ejected from the motorcycle, sustaining severe injuries, according to a press release.

He was transported to a Tyler hospital by a medical helicopter, where he died, according to a press release.

The SUV driver remained at the scene and fully cooperated with police, Bragg said, and no charges have been filed as of press time.
