Florida State softball player Jaysoni Beachum has launched her own podcast called ‘You Got This’.The podcast is faith-based and aims to inspire listeners with life lessons from the Bible.Beachum records the podcast during her downtime from softball, often in the evenings.
Florida State softball’s third baseman Jaysoni Beachum has added a new role to her workload this season: podcast host.
When she’s not anchoring the infield for the Seminoles, Beachum is behind a microphone recording “You Got This,” a faith‑based podcast she launched in February. The junior said the idea had been on her mind for a long time before she finally decided to act on it.
“It’s been on my heart for quite a while now, and I just wanted to do something other than softball, so that’s why I went for it,” Beachum said. “When New Year’s rolled around, I was like, ‘All right, it’s time to put it out there.’”
“You Got This” allows the Tallahassee native to show a different side of herself.
Each episode centers on motivation, personal growth and lessons rooted in scripture — an approach Beachum said reflects both her personality and her purpose. Her logo for her pod is an anchor with a gold cross that is marked in the center and a giant crown on top.

“I chose that title because at the end of the day, no matter what comes your way in life, if you have the tools and the mindset, you’ve got it,” she said. “It’s your choice to go out there and do it.”
Balancing the podcast with softball has required some creativity.
Beachum said she typically works on episodes in the evening, using downtime to read Scripture, take notes and connect its message to real‑world situations. Episodes often begin with a verse and end with a teaser for what’s coming next.
“I just take what God speaks to me throughout the week,” she said. “And as you can see, I’ll have some cut‑out points and try to lead people to cliffhangers so they come back and listen.”
“You Got This” is available on Spotify.
Jaysoni Beachum playing with confidence, purpose in junior season
Now in her third season with Florida State, Beachum continues to build on a dominant freshman campaign. She said the experience has gone by quickly as she’s grown both on and off the field.
“It’s definitely a surreal moment,” Beachum said. “It felt like yesterday I was a freshman, but they say when you’re having fun, it goes fast. I’m definitely grateful for the opportunity.”
Florida State’s 15–4 start has been powered in part by a productive freshman class — a group Beachum said has already proven it belongs under head coach Lonni Alameda.
“They are definitely built for it,” she said. “That’s our motto for the whole team. That’s what we work so hard for in the fall — preparation, intent. The game doesn’t know you’re a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior. They’re ready and can take on anything.”
Through 19 games, Beachum is batting .404 and leads the Seminoles with 19 RBI. She also has 19 hits, 13 runs and three home runs in 47 at‑bats. She said her focus remains on staying grounded and controlling what she can.
“Just remembering one season at a time — enjoying my junior year,” she said. “Going out there with more intent, purpose and a plan, and continuing to lean on my left and right. Just having fun with it.”
