Last month, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami, hosted a heartfelt evening of community and philanthropy, filled with smiles, connection and shopping, all for a great cause.
Proceeds from the event benefited the Key Biscayne Fund for the Sunshine Kids, a 40-year-old nonprofit that provides group activities and emotional support for thousands of young cancer patients receiving treatment in hospitals across North America, including four in South Florida.
“We are thrilled with the strong community showing, support and generosity that helps give hope to kids undergoing cancer treatment,” said Vivian Galego-Mendez, chair of the Key Biscayne Fund for Sunshine Kids and vice president and managing broker for the Key Biscayne office of BHHS EWM Realty.
Galego-Mendez said the strong turnout has inspired plans for another Night of Giving event around Mother’s Day.
“We love creating opportunities to help these young cancer patients smile,” she said.
