SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK) — Fog…smoke…rain… we have it all this morning in Southwest Florida!
Inland communities woke up to a few showers. Aside from that, some woke up to dense, patchy fog and the smell of smoke lingering from this week’s brushfires.
By the afternoon, highs will be slightly above normal, in the low 80s. Clouds and sun will dominate the forecast with a few showers possible today.
This evening will be mild with temperatures in the 70s.
Monday
A few showers are possible as we kick off the upcoming week with temperatures warming up into the low to mid 80s.
Sun and clouds stick around throughout the day.
This week
Our warming trend continues with highs in the mid to upper 80s this week.
Rain chances stay around the 20 to 30 percent range throughout the week.
Overnight lows stay mild and steady, in the mid 60s under partly cloudy skies.
Beach and boating
Winds are light today with a northerly flow of around 5 to 10 knots. Gulf wave heights are reaching 1 to 2 feet with a light chop in our bays and inland waters.
The Gulf water temperature is at 70 degrees.
